The Championship Section set test-piece and Challenge Section will be judged by composer and conductor Jan de Haan, conductor Ivan Meylemans and conductor and teacher Christophe Jeanbourquin. The jury members for Saturday’s own choice contest (2 May) are the leading band conductors Garry Cutt and Florent Didier and composer Stig Nordhagen.
Judges for the European Conductors Competition, 28-30 April, will comprise Mark Heron (Acting Head of Conducting, Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester), and Rolf Schumacher (Head of Conducting, Hochschule der Künste, Bern), who will be joined for Round 1 by Reid Gilje (Conductor of EYBB 2020), for Round 2 by Egidijus Alisauskas (Musical Director Lithuanian Armed Forces Band) and for the Final by Jan de Haan.
